![]() To me a plot hole is something that actually contradicts something previously stated, or that is somehow illogical according to previously established (implicit or explicit) rules. I suppose it's largely a lost cause, but I prefer to distinguish plot holes from things that simply aren't explained. I don't get why the CD Drama even left that open either than as a particularly poor attempt at creating drama. Honestly, considering the Homeostasis could apparently make a ton of Gennai clones to work her factory in the first place, and is experienced in making Digivices that explicitly rewrite a digital creature's code, it should really be a simple matter for her, if not Koushiro, to simply examine Gennai's code and fix whatever's out of alignment. Kind of humorous, actually, that for all intents and purposes Piedmon failed and Gennai was too strong for the technique, but Koushiro and Gennai are still paranoid about it because they're worried it might have been intended as a ticking time bomb. There's no reason to suggest that the black ball was anything more than a particularly molesty attack, that for whatever reason didn't kill Gennai and is probably why he's confused about what the ball was. Tons of evil Digimon have techniques that are basically "fire an orb of darkness". ![]() ((Due to how this conversation has nothing to do with the original subject I'm not going to reply to any further comments on this, so please just agree to disagree with my wording))Ĭlick to expand.This. ![]() Like yeah, everything here is canon in Toei/Bandai's eyes, but each writer had their own interpretation or "canon" too)) ((And really considdering the amount of self contradictatory material that all ties into Adventure ranging from the show, the movies, the CD dramas, the games, all the way to the entirety of Tamers as well as both Xros Animated and Xros Comic, yeah, Adventureverse is really convoluted, it's no scretch to compare it to how self contradictatory Duck comics are, and to look at it based on who made what and "divide the canon/works" around the creators and their different interpretations of everything. That's literally all I've been saying this whole time. is and will be revelant, but Kakudou didn't make it. I'm not saying outside parties don't matter when it comes to Adventure, hell I fully accept parts of V-Tamer to be canon to Adventure, but these things among many others are not Kakudou's work, so they can be summarized as official and licenced material made by outside parties, or in short, "official fanfic". All I'm saying that it's not part of what Kakudou made, it's not Kakudou's work. ![]() is official, I have been saying that this entire time, it is Toei's canonical sequel to Adventure, I'm not saying that it isn't. No one is ever going to compare this to Donald Duck comics. There's no base comic to compare this to. Kakudou isn't involved, but the show is still canon. The stories that happened after the showrunner leaves the show still happen, and they are still canon whether or not you want them to be, to the greater narrative. actually means very, very little in the long run- it's the same situation as, in at least western television, a show runner leaving a project but the show still continuing on. ![]() isn't going to be relevant, just because Kakudou isn't working on it, which is a complete and total crock. No, though? Using some of your own examples, that implies that the Doom Tree Arc from Sailor Moon R is irrelevant to the narrative of Sailor Moon R, which isn't even remotely the case because of the way that the original Sailor Moon anime ended most things in Doom Tree were necessitated by this ending. ![]()
